Nikon D7000 Camera buying help?

The D7000 would undoubtedly be a good camera. For portraits and landscapes, you only need the 18-55mm kit zoom lens. If you plan to get a 70-300mm, it would be better if your other lens would be the 18-55mm kit lens. The shorter the zoom range of the lens, the better it is optically.
