Is a Nikon 18-55 VR lens 52mm thread or 58mm thread?

I have a D3100 and I'm buying a lens hood for it. Is it a 52 or 58mm thread? Also, does anyone know if there's a petal or crown official Nikon lens hood for it? Thanks a lot.
