Consider this rectifier circuit - What is the RMS voltage of VR(t) in volts?

rms value is root of mean of square. square of 127 is 16129. During the period the voltage is negative, the diode does not conduct and current is zero. Thus the average is also (16129*33)/66 = 8064.5V. This is the mean. Its square root is 127/1.414. Ans: 89.8V
