Is there anyway of recording or adding songs on to a recorded dvd on a handycam?

I have a hitachi camcorder (model Hitachi dvd CAMCORDER DZ-BX35E) that comes with no software and no firewire. I am a novice/beginner with recording on a dvd camcorder. I always record on DVD-VR mode so then its instant playback on any DVD reorder. After I've recorded the footage and finalized the disc I want to add songs on to the dvd recording to block the background noise of the footage, how is this possible without a firewire connection and software. Please can someone help and give me a step-by-step guide.
