I changed my billing address on amazon but my card is registered to another one?

My mom said that if my credit card is registered to one address and I change it on amazon, it won't ship. I got the email from amazon saying that my order was confirmed, was it confirmed or did it not go through if I didn't change the address on my credit card? Thank you.
