Leaving car at tow yard in WASHINGTON?

I bought a car from a private seller and I have the title. I left it in my driveway for about a week. Before I had the chance to get it registered it was stolen. The car was worth 4800 and I had no insurance on it. When the police found it they informed me that the motor was gone and they stripped the car. Now the towing place wants 400 bucks for me to get it back. I was wondering if I could just leave the car there and just forget it? I have the title but I didn't register it yet so technically it's still the previous owner's car. Any inputs would be appreciated. Thank you.
