A registered sex offender/pedo moved into my neighborhood?

I don't know what to do. We all got calls from our local police station saying that he would be moving in, and lo and behold he did today. (saturday) the neighbors and i were going to form a mob and kick him out! we don't want his *** in our neighborhood because we have teenage girls and young children around, who knows what might happen. what should i do?
