Is there any way to disable the duel monitor option using only on monitor?

I am running on Windows XP with a nvidia 9400 GE graphics card and one day, for some reason, I plugged in my monitor into the default plug in on my computer instead of the video card. Now it registers the graphics card as a second monitor and I can't disable it.
